This is my gorgeous neice her name is Alyssa Catherine McLean. She was born on 23 February 2007 at 3.31am - after Moira being in labour for 36 hours :(
She is 4 weeks premature so she is in an incubator at the mo. But all is looking well. She was a very healthy 6 pounds and 6 ounces when she was born.
I had the day off anyway today so I went up. I wasn't allowed in the room tho only parents & Grandparents but I saw her through a window.

I went to see Will Young last night with Barrys mum. I have to say the show was amazing. He really is an all round entertainer. His signng came effortless and the notes and tone in his voice were just amazing. For you synics out there no I dont think he was lip synching. He had a bit of banter with the audience aswell which was good. He really is a funny guy. If signing doesn't work out for him maybe stand up comedy .....
It is definetely up there with the top 5 performances I have ever seen though. The dancers were also fantastic - I think they are trained to do everything - hip hop, ballet - you know it and they will probably do it. |

My mum just drove down to show me the sonagram picture of my neice or nephew. It was amazing it is so formed already my mum was so surprised that I managed to make it out straight away where the heads and legs were. She said that some people are having problems seeing it. But I thought it was easy. I may be biased but I think he or she is gorgeous. And there is only one so no twins!! Moira is so pleased!! |

| Fire!!!! GET OUT! |

Well that was an interesting day today. First the switchboard lady phoned in sick. So me and Claire covered the phone downstairs between ourselves (which isn't a bad gig as you can't do any work down there so we read our books and answer approx 30 calls in an hour and even then we just bung them through to the people they want to speak to.
Then when I was on the phone at 11.50 the fire alarm went off and I didn't have a clue what I was meant to be doing as I have responsibilities by being on the phone. Finally my boss comes to say that phone the weighbridge (a wee guy in a box) and say you are switching the phone to him and then she ran away. Well I couldn't get the phone to switch over and that was reading the instructions. Then I was panicking and answering calls saying "there is a fire phone back". I was there for about 10 mins before I managed to get it switched. Then went out to join people at the assembly point and they burst out laughing because my boss was panicking and hunting around the place trying to find me!!!
They were impressed at my determination not to give the company a bad name by not getting the phones answered - even if it did mean me dying in a fire!!! |

Well I have finally managed to set up my lap top - after 2 hours!!! What a day wasted and now my lving room has empty boxes and leads strewn everywhere. Ah well I will make Barry clean those up!!!! lol
Well I have been hard at work after all fair is fair |
